Itinerary

DAY 1: CUSCO CITY
  • Your visit begins with a transfer from the airport to your hotel to drop off your luggage and then you will start your tour of the city of Cusco, also known as the Imperial City and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
  • You will visit the Koricancha Temple, an ancient Inca palace and center of worship to the Sun God, on which the Dominican order built a church that still stands today.
  • You will continue to the Plaza de Armas, where you will visit the Cathedral, the most important catholic temple in the city. Finally, we will take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
    DAY 2: SACRED VALLEY / MACHU PICCHU
    • The adventure will begin at 7:00 a.m. We will pick you up at your hotel and begin the journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas while you enjoy the wonderful view. Then you will visit a small picturesque Andean village. We will make our first stop in Pisac is an archaeological complex that is in the homonymous district of the province of Calca. The archaeological site is one of the most important and visited in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. It is located east of the Vilcabamba mountain range.
    • We will continue our journey to Ollantaytambo, where we will stop at a viewpoint to enjoy one of the best views of the Sacred Valley.
    • At noon, we will stop at a local restaurant where you can have lunch and enjoy Peruvian gastronomy.
    • Finally, we will arrive at Ollantaytambo, one of the most representative architectural complexes of the ancient Inca Empire and one of the few places where the Spanish conquerors lost an important battle. Well known for its terraces, Ollantaytambo was a very effective fortress that also served as a temple.
    • AHere we will board the tourist train to go directly to Machupicchu (2 hours trip).
    DAY 3: MACHUPICCHU / CUSCO
    • You will be picked up at your hotel in the morning and taken to the bus station to go to the citadel.
    • Consettur buses leave on a recurring basis, the common waiting time is between 35 and 45 minutes. Once the trip starts, it will take you 30 to 40 minutes to get to Machu Picchu.
    • The visit to Machu Picchu will last approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. In this visit our guide will tell you the stories that only an expert knows, will give you tips for the best photos and you can make the most of the visit you dreamed so much.
    • For the return, you will take the Consettur bus (about 30 - 40 min wait) and once the trip starts, it will be a 30 minute ride to Machu Picchu Pueblo.
    • For the return by train (depending on the availability of the train): We recommend that 30 minutes before your trip you start your transfer to Machu Picchu Pueblo Train Station. You will be back in Ollantaytambo in the evening. From there you will return to Cusco in the service that awaits you for your pick up and arrival to the city of Cusco.
    DAY 4: TIPON / PIKILLAQTA / ANDAHUAYLILLAS
    • At 09:00 hrs we will pick you up from your hotel to start the tour.
    • First, we will head to Tipon, an Inca archaeological complex located 27 km from Cusco. Here you will discover the 12 agricultural terraces that are still cultivated with an irrigation system, where water flows through extensive carved stone canals.
    • You will also appreciate the amazing knowledge of hydraulic engineering used by the Incas, as well as a wonderful system of terraces, in which the land gives abundant fruits until today.
    • Then, you will visit Pikillacta, an archaeological site built by the Wari people. Among its 700 structures, spread over 3000 hectares, you can see stone and mud constructions, different terraces and the head of a condor carved on a rock.
    • Afterwards, you will continue with the tour to Andahuaylillas, a place that houses a beautiful church of the sixteenth century, which has an impressive organ decorated with angels and cherubs. In addition, you will be able to contemplate the mural paintings and the altars decorated in gold. Finally, at 14:30 hrs we will return to your hotel.
    DAY 5: 7-COLOR MOUNTAIN
    • This incredible adventure starts very early in the morning. We will pick you up at your hotel in the historic center of Cusco in the early morning and we will start a journey towards the South Valley; it will be a 2 hour drive until we reach Cusipata and from there we will continue the journey by a dirt road to the town of Phulawasipata for 1 hour more.
    • The village of Phulawasipata is located at 4,626 masl (15,177.17ft) and it is from there that we begin the hike that will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes bordering a beautiful stream. Be captivated by the trail and its fauna, you will see groups of herds of Andean camelids such as llamas and alpacas; if you are lucky, you might even see the Andean cat. The great snow-capped mountain that you will see is the highest in the region, the "Apu Ausangate", its majesty and mystique will remind you that you are in a unique and magical place. During the trip, you will be able to interact with the villagers of the area and learn a little of their daily life; you will see various fields that are worked in the area, especially the potato and its different varieties.
    • After the 1 hour and 30 minute hike, you will be amazed by the wonderful view of Vinicunca, the Rainbow Mountain (5,020 masl / 16466ft). You will have enough time to explore the area, take pictures and also take a break to renew energies (approximately 30 minutes at the top).
    • When it is time to begin the descent by the same route of ascent, the return hike will take approximately 1 hour to reach the place where the return transport will be waiting for you.
    • After 1 hour drive, we arrive at Cusipata for lunch. Afterwards, we will continue our return to Cusco arriving after approximately 2 hours. You will be back in Cusco at the end of the afternoon.
    DAY 6: TRANSFER TO AIRPORT
    • After you check out of your hotel, we will take you to the airport (previous coordination).
