Itinerary

DAY 1: CUSCO / CITY TOUR

Our service starts with your pick up from the airport to take you to your chosen hotel to leave your luggage, then we leave towards our route around the city of Cusco.
Tambomachay will be our first stop, this archaeological site of Tambomachay, along with Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Sacsayhuaman, is one of the most important archaeological complexes in the city of Cusco. It is located only 7 kilometers from the ancient capital of the Incas. Due to its location, it belongs to one of the important centers in the 'ceques' or imaginary lines that departed from Cuzco and served the Incas to organize their sanctuaries and important centers. Its function was to provide water to the surrounding sites and as baths for the Inca. The harmony that exists between its stone walls and the surrounding nature make it one of the most important places in the Inca Empire. After this majestic place we will visit puka pukara, a military construction located near Cusco, Peru. This fortress is composed of large walls, terraces and staircases and was part of the defensive complex of Cusco in particular and the Inca Empire in general.
After this tour, you will delve into the Inca architecture visiting the archaeological site of Q'enko. We continue with the tour to the Sacsayhuaman Fortress, an imposing example of Inca military architecture and you will know other places of importance within the Inca culture. 15:00 lunch in a country restaurant near the city of Cusco. After this majestic tour we will take you to your hotel to rest.

DAY 2: CUSCO / MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO

Departure by train: Departure from Ollantaytambo Station to Machu Picchu Pueblo will be around 06:40 hrs (time to be confirmed according to train availability). The journey takes approximately 1 hour and a half.
Arrival to Machu Picchu Pueblo: Upon arrival, around 08:00 hrs, our staff will be waiting for you at Machu Picchu Station to provide you with the information and orientation you need. When you have your ticket and 30 minutes before the entrance time, go to the Consettur bus stop. Consettur buses leave on a recurring basis, the common waiting time is between 35 and 45 minutes. Once the trip starts, it will take you 30 to 40 minutes to get to Machu Picchu. The visit to Machu Picchu will last approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. In this visit our guide will tell you the stories that only an expert knows, will give you tips for the best photos and you can make the most of the visit you dreamed of.
For the return, you will take the Consettur bus (about 30 - 40 min wait) and once the trip starts, it will be a 30 minute ride to Machu Picchu Pueblo.
For the return by train (depending on the availability of the train): We recommend that 30 minutes before your trip you start your transfer to the Machu Picchu Pueblo Train Station. You will be back in Ollantaytambo in the evening. From there you will return to Cusco in the service that awaits you for your pick up. Arrival to Cusco in the early morning.

DAY 3: CUSCO CITY

Your visit begins with the pick up at your hotel at the agreed time, to start our tour with this traditional route.
You will visit the Koricancha Temple, an ancient Inca palace and center of worship to the Sun God, on which the Dominican order built a church that still stands today. Continue to the Plaza de Armas, where you will visit the Cathedral, the most important Catholic temple in the city.
You will continue with a visit to the most important stone of the city, the stone of 12 angles located very close to the main square and finally the tour ends with a visit to the main market of the city San Pedro, so you can shop for souvenirs.
Finally, we will take you back to your hotel to pick up your luggage and transfer you to the airport.
